Wondering why time ticks so fast,
Gosh, it’s unfair, unnatural and biased,
Everything appears baby-pink and blue,
These are those moments spent with You.
I hardly could think of what was next,
And then you surprise me with your effects,
When I lose myself so much in their ambiance,
That it’s not easy to return to my presence.
I wanted to tell you things that now I forget,
Trying to remember them keeps me silent,
And you infer that I got nothing to say,
But the truth is they got stolen on the way.
I listen to you like I never have ever,
Trying to understand every spelled syllable,
Engrossed in your world of facts and fun,
Now it feels like the best place under the Sun.
What doesn't make sense is why once you leave,
Worldly wisdom dawns at its peak,
What were once pinkish are now shades of grey,
How I wish I could get back my day.
My naughty days of pure little surprises,
Like melting chocolates of different sizes,
My lonely days of lovely experiments,
Sweet, beautiful, and heavenly supplements.
Not so late that a new day begins,
And a wiser, enlightened me awakens,
But no sooner than my cell rings, displays your name,
That I am back to your world of good old fame.
