Some will praise you

For no virtue of yours,

To get you to give

A favor or a chore.

Beware of such persons,

They are not your friends.

Some will lure you

To join them in their crimes

And leave you to fend for

Yourselves when it's time.

Beware of such folks

They are not your friends.

Some will act very smart,

Make you believe that 

they are the best you've got,

But berate you at your back.

Beware of such blokes,

They are not your friends.

Some will hug you all along

But drain you of what you got

They won't care as long as they get

Giving is never in their head.

Beware of such folks,

They are not your friends.

Some will never leave

When they are unhappy,

But vanish into thin air

When you don't feel merry.

Beware of such folks,

They are not your friends.

Lastly are those that

Are jealous to the core,

They talk to you,

Only to find the secrets you hold.

Beware of such persons,

They are not your friends.

But there exist few odds,

They stick to their spoken words,

They shelter you from all the perils,

And shower you with blissful love.

Treasure them till your last breath,

'Coz they are your true wealth.

Being a true friend I believe,

Is more of a virtue than an act.

He who is a true friend,

It is true for many not just one.

It is a quality that is very hard to find,

So cherish those gems if any you have.
