The Moon

We are torn by distances,
And paired by our thoughts.
We no longer speak,
But our bond is strong.
The path to your house
Is no longer mine to take,
The road leading to thee
Is far from my city.
The place that I reside,
Is not known to you,
Neither is any part of you,
In my perceived view.
But within the wide universe
That we occupy
There is still a common
Touch that unifies.
Wherever you are
My dearest one,
The moon that you see
Is the moon that I see.
And that dissolves
The space in between.
